I purchased the pro version of MBD Vue. The welcome message said an account would be created for Gitlab access, but It doesn't appear to have worked; my credentials for mdbootstrap.com do not work on git.mdbootstrap.com.

My apologies for your inconvenience.

Your account has been created, you should receive an email with an activation link (please check your spam folder as well). Once you click on the activation link you will be redirected to set your new password. After that, you can proceed with further instructions and generate access tokens.
