When try to login to the client using mdb login I get the error message below on both operating systems. Does anybody know the workaround for this?

(node:31303) Warning: Setting the NODE_TLS_REJECT_UNAUTHORIZED environment variable to '0' makes TLS connections and HTTPS requests insecure by disabling certificate verification.(Use node --trace-warnings ... to show where the warning was created)

Yeah, we are aware of that. Although pretty annoying, it's just a warning and it should not cause any errors with the CLI tool itself. Nonetheless, we are working on this and it will not be shown in the stable version.
