I have a page with multiple gradient cards. Is it possible to set one of the cards as opened when the user first opens the page?

Unfortunately we don't have any class that allows o set one of the cards as opened when the user first opens the page. You can use Promoting card and add class .show to .card-text element https://mdbootstrap.com/plugins/jquery/extended-cards/#promoting-card
