Auto format input is great but you only restrict this for credit-card and date. Why can we don't use this for custom properties (phone number for example). For example:

  <input mdbInput mdbFormat [format]="[nn, nn, nn]" [separator]="-">

That's good idea, I added that to our nice-to-have list. Unfortunately we can't provide an ETA for this feature yet.
