*_Expected behavior_* Input field not showing invalid status / not beeing invalid

*_Actual behavior_* I have implemented this: https://mdbootstrap.com/docs/angular/forms/validation/ --> Update on submit. Although the field is filled it seems to has status invalid when pressing send button. enter image description here
