Specific characteristics of singlefired, red paste stoneware floor and wall tiles.

“Gres”, or stoneware, floor tiling is the most common name for dry pressed, glazed ceramic floor tiles with a low or medium-low water absorption manufactured by single firing. These are suitable for indoor use on floors in residential or commercial premises and models featuring resistance to abrasion can also be employed on façades and outdoor floors.

The relief on the top surface may be similar to that of natural stone, for decorative purposes, or have facets similar to diamond tips, or striated or angular forms to provide a non-slip surface for use on exterior ground or in industrial premises.

Complementary pieces usually include inserts, friezes, triangles, strips and risers, with the most common special pieces being plinths, stairtreads, string pieces and compositions.

Choosing the right ceramic tile for laying or hanging is essential if the product is to provide good results and user satisfaction. VIVES floor tiles have been classified into five groups based on technical testing to establish their resistance to abrasion, hardness or chemical resistance depending on the conditions of use for which they were conceived.

Complements of natural marble:

This natural origin product, could show in function from the source of the quarry, shade differences, different textures and even natural formed holes in the stone.

All these “natural imperfections” gives the product its own personality and unrepeatable characteristics.

Because of it we can’t accept any responsability for any claim based on these reasons (see above).
